Police are looking to question the Bronx man who they say owns the gun used in the shooting death of a Brooklyn teenager in Claremont.
The incident took place Thursday evening inside 42-year-old Dale Weston's apartment on East 171st Street.
Police say they believe that 16-year-old Zion Willis, of Brooklyn's Canarsie neighborhood, was accidentally shot in the face.
Authorities say Weston illegally owns that gun and was present at the time of Willlis' death. She is said to have been visiting a friend when the gun went off in her hands.
Police say Weston has not been seen since the incident and is wanted for criminal possession of a weapon. They say he stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds.
News 12 is told that the family who lived in the apartment will now be moving out.
