A Bronx mother wants her leaky pipes repaired in her Melrose apartment.
Destiny Velazquez says she is concerned the ongoing problem will lead to mold and other health concerns inside her apartment on Union Avenue.
She says her son's bedroom flooded on Monday, and that a busted pipe can still be heard through the wall.
"It was shooting like a water hose," she told News 12.
Velazquez says leaks have been a problem in her apartment for at least two years, but no one has come to repair the issue.
News 12 reached out to the city's Housing Authority and is awaiting a response.
