A musician from Highbridge is calling on the community to track down his backpack so he can get back to performing.

Anthony Quarterman is known for his subway solos. He’s a musician for MTA Music Under New York, bringing R&B vocals to station platforms in the Bronx and Manhattan.

Quarterman says he was on his way to perform at the South Ferry/Whitehall Station on Thursday when his bag was lost.

“Ride to the last stop, got off the bus with my speakers and realized I left my backpack on the bus with my microphone, my pads, my music and everything in it,” said Quarterman. "I was in so much in a hurry to get back because I knew today was a good money day.”

The musician says that without his equipment, he can’t perform, and with no performances, he can’t make money.

“It's very important, it's my lifesaver. It's what is keeping me going in life,” said Quarterman.
