Bronx Parent Housing Network donates scholarships, food and PPE

A group of single mothers and those who were formerly incarcerated were the recipients of a scholarship for the Metropolitan College of New York's Bronx campus last week.

A group of single mothers and those who were formerly incarcerated were the recipients of a scholarship for the Metropolitan College of New York's Bronx campus last week.
The event was hosted by the Bronx Parent Housing Network.
Victor M. Rivera, the founder of BPHN, says he was a single parent to two kids when he was incarcerated.

However, he earned his GED, bachelor's, and master's degrees from the Metropolitan College of New York and is now giving back to those in similar positions.
The BPHN distributed hot meals, food pantry supplies and personal protective equipment after handing out scholarships.
