Bronx athletes who competed in the Empire State Games in Rochester headed home Sunday at the end of the competition.
Players say they enjoyed the five-day, 28-sport games from the opening ceremonies to the close. Many are returning home with medals, while others say they played their best and look forward to next year?s competition. Some athletes say they made connections with professional and college scouts at the Empire State Games. Players are also gearing up for regular seasons at their schools.
Next year?s games will be held in Westchester.
