Bronx resident celebrates 103rd birthday

2h agoA Bronx resident had a very special birthday celebration Saturday.
Cordelia Bowman, who is affectionally nicknamed "Aunt Peggy" and was a foster parent for 40 years, celebrated her 103rd birthday.
"She is my everything. I can remember as a little girl her and my grandfather driving me to school. She was there for every award ceremony, for every graduation," said granddaughter Shevonne Bowman.
"I feel bless to have them, in fact I'm the youngest one, I mean the last one in the family," Cordelia Bowman said.
"A hundred and three years -- that's something to celebrate," added her daughter Bonnie Bowman.
Cordelia Bowman's birthday was actually on April 6 but just got around to celebrate it on Saturday.
