Bronx residents discussed various issues Tuesday at a community forum at the Christ the King Church on the Grand Concourse.
The forum was held by the Parent Action Committee. Organizers say the goal was to bring the community together to strengthen their power. Speakers discussed new immigration laws and the growing obesity problem in the Bronx. School safety was also discussed among community members.
The Parent Action Committee says it has plans to take action on some of the topics discussed. The group plans to speak out publicly against immigration laws on May 1.
