Despite the rain this Memorial Day weekend, people across the borough were out and about making the most of their day.

Although the rain cause some events to be canceled, many say the weather didn’t hinder any of their plans.

One family tells News 12 they enjoyed a game of dominos under a tree.

There were also several young athletes practicing football on the field.

One Bronx residents says the weather is not putting a hold on his family's annual tradition of going to the park.

"This is a ritual for us. We do it every Memorial Day weekend. We come out here every Sunday. It's not going stop us. The rain's not going to stop us,” says Arnie Marcano.

He says his family still planned to barbecue this afternoon rain or shine.
