Bronx residents mourned the loss of a popular pediatrician who failed to show up for appointments Wednesday and was later found murdered in his Yonkers home.Police say the body of 46-year-old Dr. Leandro Lozado was found in his Brendon Hill Road home. According to police, Lozado?s girlfriend went to his house to check up on him after he failed to show up for work. Detectives say he was shot at least once and died in his bedroom.Anna Dominguez, one of Dr. Lozado?s patients, says he didn?t treat her like a client, but like family. Lozado maintained two practices in the Bronx, one on E. 194th Street and another on the Grand Concourse. Detectives are scouring Lozado?s home and office for clues.
