A ringing ceremony was held Saturday in Parkchester to remember those who were lost during the attacks of September 11, 2001.
The event was hosted by the Bronx Community Board 9 and Bronx Bangladeshi community.
Members of the NYPD, FDNY, local church leaders and elected officials all gathered to share personal stories of how the fateful day impacted their lives.
Speakers also reinforced the importance of supporting neighbors in the Muslim community who experienced xenophobia in the years following the attacks.
To close the ceremony, a bell was rung to remember all those who did not return home that day.
