Residents say they are fed up and frustrated about an accumulation of trash along Briggs Avenue in Fordham. DSNY tells News 12 it has stepped up illegal dumping surveillance citywide.
Last year, it issued more than 300 summonses, each starting at $4,000.
It says the people who are dumping trash there are on notice and will be caught.
News 12 spoke to several business employees who work along the avenue and say clients constantly complain about the smell.
