? Bronx residents gathered at a city planning meeting on Reade Street Wednesday to voice their opinions about the proposed new Yankee Stadium.
Edgardo Diaz is a Bronx resident and construction worker who says the $800 million project will bring jobs and a better neighborhood. Bronx mother Wanda Smith feels the construction, which could last more than two years by some estimates, will create dust, debris and more traffic.
Plans for the new stadium include a retail complex, new parks, a Metro-North stop and improvements to the old stadium.
The City Planning Commission will vote on the issue February 27.
