Boca restaurant in the Bronx is the first in the city and the country to partner with NYC Health + Hospitals to get customers and community members vaccinated.
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the new vaccine mandate for indoor dining, entertainment and fitness begins on Tuesday, Aug. 17.
Ahead of the mandate, Boca restaurant started giving on-site vaccinations with the NYC Health + Hospitals mobile vaccine clinic last week.
NYC Health + Hospitals says 94 vaccinations have been administered at the eatery in its first week alone.
Starting tomorrow, they’ll be using the Key to NYC Pass to check for customer vaccinations.
The mandate for indoor activities will not be fully enforced until Sept. 13.
