The Bronx River Alliance held a virtual public meeting on Tuesday to discuss a new plan of improvements.

The BRA called on Bronx residents who live, work or play near the Bronx River to attend the meeting where some shared their thoughts on how to make it better over the next 10 years.

The topic of discussion was a new collaborative plan set in place by the alliance and other city agencies called the Bronx River Intermunicipal Watershed Management Plan. The goal of it is to make the Bronx River swimmable and fishable by addressing some of the most pressing climate issues facing our borough over the next decade.

According to the Bronx River Alliance, one of those problems is flooding.
