NYPD are searching for a gunman who shot a victim in the head overnight.
Bronx residents captured the aftermath of a shooting around 12:40 a.m. today on Citizen App.
According to the police, the incident occurred at 645 Westchester Avenue, leading to the parking lot of the St. Mary's Park Houses. It is reported that a 38-year-old victim had a disagreement with at least one other man outside this morning.
The exact sequence of events remains unclear, but when officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was swiftly transported to NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln, where he remains in critical condition. The NYCHA building where the incident took place appears quiet, with no visible police presence.
This area is bustling, located just down the street from the Jackson Avenue 2 & 5 train station.
At present, the only description police have of the suspect is that they are male.
