A street festival was held on Third Avenue between 149th and 153rd streets Sunday to celebrate diversity.
The Third Avenue Business Improvement District organized the festival, which featured performances and vendors.
Organizers say the goal of the event was to unify Bronx residents of all ethnicities, sexual orientations and backgrounds.
Sunday also kicked off the city-wide “Hate Has No Business Here” campaign aimed at promoting inclusivity in the small business community.
Organizers say they plan to continue programming throughout the year to help local businesses and community members embrace the diversity of the Bronx.
