A South Bronx school is preparing the next generation of computer programmers.
Fifth-graders from Grant Avenue Elementary School in Morrisania have a brand new state-of-the-art computer lab thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Bronx Borough President's Office.
The money not only made it possible to fully equip the school's lab with 32 new computers, but it also put three laptops in every classroom.
Administrators say that by keeping up with evolving technology, students will have a jumpstart in landing the more than 1 million computer science opportunities available today.
