A Bronx teenager is using a popular app that typically has people singing, dancing or acting silly for educational purposes instead - earning him the nickname "Tik Tok Tutor."

A Bronx teenager is using a popular app that typically has people singing, dancing or acting silly for educational purposes instead - earning him the nickname "Tik Tok Tutor."
Alexis Loveraz, 16, is using Tik Tok to help students understand math and science concepts and even SAT questions.
He quickly got nearly 7 million likes. Loveraz tells News 12 he makes the videos because he's passionate about computers, science and math.
He says it's fun and he's hoping he can make a difference.
It's also giving him some insight into what might be next for him. He says he can see himself possibly becoming an online teacher.
