Police in the Bronx took a 14-year-old girl into custody hours after a newborn girl was thrown from a building.Police sources tell News 12 The Bronx they were led to the girl at Middle School 144 after questioning numerous people. Sources say they believe the girl gave birth either Monday night or Tuesday morning and went to school like nothing happened.
When police arrived at the Eastchester Houses at 1166 Burke Ave., they found the baby girl unconscious with the umbilical cord still attached. The baby was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Sources say the baby had broken ribs and hypothermia.Police are questioning the girl's 22-year-old boyfriend. The 14-year-old was taken to the hospital and has not been charged.
