A Bronx woman accepted a plea deal in court on Thursday and has been sentenced to four to eight years in prison for a surgical procedure turned deadly back in 2018.
Whalesca Castillo had already pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the second degree for the role she played in the death of a woman who paid to enhance her figure.

In June of 2018, Lesbia Ayala died from an embolism after police say Castillo injected silicone into her butt and thighs.
This wasn’t Castillo's first time performing the illegal "butt lifts." In 2012, she was also found guilty, sentenced to a year in prison and ordered to pay $100,000 for illegally running a fly-by-night cosmetic clinic out of her home in the Bronx without a license.

Castillo was eventually released on probation. Two years later, she was sent back to prison after she was caught performing the procedures again.
