Students at the Bronx Zeta Charter School received free chess lessons from Bronx chess master Tyrone Davis.
Davis taught students about how chess drives him to achieve academic and professional success. He is an MIT graduate and has worked with companies like Goldman Sachs.
The chess master was joined by legendary investor Boaz Weinstein, who faced him in a game of speed chess for the students to watch.
“It's really a blessing for me to be able to be here…. hopefully one of them will become chess masters and work on Wall Street or become a doctor or whatever. But maybe, hopefully today, I've inspired one or two of these kids to be great,” said Davis.
Each of the students received a free chess set at the end of the session.
