The FDNY Uniformed Firefighters Association announced the death of retired Battalion Chief Joseph A. McKie of Battalion 41 in Brooklyn due to a 9/11-related illness.
McKie died on Sunday after 31 years of service in the department.
He leaves behind a wife and four children.
The FDNY has lost over 340 members who responded to the 9/11 attacks.
