Brooklyn Children’s Library celebrates Tu BiShvat with a day of activities

The Brooklyn Children’s Library is offering a day of full of activities today for kids and families celebrating the Jewish holiday, Tu BiShvat. 
The holiday celebrates the birth of new fruits of the seasons – a reminder to those who observe to connect with Mother Nature and the Earth. Activities at the library include fruit tastings, seed planting, singing, dancing and more.  
News 12’s Julia Joseph spoke with Martine Duffy, the program director of The Neighborhood – a Jewish Urban Center in Brooklyn.
