An Oceanside woman has been indicted for stealing over $130,000 in death benefits from the New York CIty Employee's Retirement system.
Akosua Agyeman impersonated her cousin, who was the rightful beneficiary of benefits following the death of the cousin's father, according to the Brooklyn district attorney.
Agyeman was indicted on charges including second-degree grand larceny and first-degree identity theft.
Agyeman is expected to return to court in June.
