The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office indicted a 29-year-old man for the death of a 3-year-old boy in East Flatbush.
NYPD arrived at 700 New York Ave. and found Denim Brown face down in the bathtub on March 17.
The medical examiner found he suffered blunt force trauma to the head and face before his death. Brown was taken to Kings County Hospital where he died.
Kevin James is being charged with two-counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree manslaughter, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and luring a child.
"He should get life, no 25 [years], just life because how can you do that to a baby?" a neighbor told News 12. "It's very, very upsetting to me because I have children, I have grandchildren."
James is being held without bail and will be in court again on June 20, 2024. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
