The Brooklyn Mason Organization put together a Thanksgiving feast for residents facing homelessness and other struggles in the borough.
Dozens gathered at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple for the annual Thanksgiving dinner run by volunteers.
“This is what we're doing before we go to our families, we're giving back to those that need it most,” said one volunteer.
The group served turkey, ham, mac and cheese, vegetables, jerk chicken, yams and cranberry sauce.
“I'm here with my mom for Thanksgiving. I just have a multitude of thanks for the Masonry for doing this every year. Thanks to them, every year I'm able to eat for Thanksgiving,” said attendee William G.
The Brooklyn Masonic Temple also plans to do a Christmas toy drive for children in need across New York.
