Friday marks five years since a Brooklyn woman went missing, and her mother continues the search for her.
Chelsea Cobo disappeared in Sunset Park after getting into a taxi.
Her mother, Rose Cobo, spoke exclusively with News 12.
"I feel like I'm stuck," Rose Cobo said. "It's hard to fathom five years have passed. That's a long time."
For Rose Cobo, the five long years for her have in some ways felt endless as she continues searching for her missing daughter.
"Let us have some understanding. It's never going to be closed. It's never going to be peaceful," Rose Cobo said.
Chelsea Cobo was last seen getting into a cab on May 7, 2016. She never came home again.
"I'm always looking. Always," Rose Cobo said. "Life is so precious. Tomorrow's promised to no one."
From stopping people in the street and praying with strangers on the sidewalk, Rose Cobo's will to find her daughter has only grown stronger.
"Someone somewhere in some window [in] some place saw something," she said.
Since Chelsea's disappearance, her mother has not stopped handing out flyers with the hope someone saw something and speaks up.
She has now partnered with 911missing.org, a website aimed at helping others whose loved ones have also gone missing. The website uses technology for tips and leads to help with the search.
"I'd just like her to come home one way or the other. I'm asking people to please have some compassion. You could leave a tip, give a tip. You all know the tip hotline," Rose Cobo pleaded.
Rose Cobo said her fight for justice and to bring her daughter home is far from over.
"Chels, I will never stop looking for you. You know and I know that you know that because I'm relentless," she said.
