A Brooklyn radiology clinic is making breast cancer screenings easier and more glamorous for their patients.

Doctors recommend women get breast cancer screenings regularly, but it can be a scary and lonely experience.

Lenox Hill Radiology in Brooklyn and EmblemHealth have partnered up to make the exam a little less stressful.

The clinic hosted free breast screening services this weekend, which came with complimentary manicures and massages.

Dr. Heidi Burry says this service is to encourage women who may not have gotten their mammograms in a couple of years to come in and take care of themselves, physically and mentally.

“What we like to do is catch the cancers as early as possible, which does help the prognosis. Like they say, early detection saves lives,” Burry says.

The doctors add that women should start getting screened once a year for a mammogram at 40 and earlier if they have a family member who was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age or carries a genetic variant.
