The T.J. Maxx at 503 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn is saying goodbye to the neighborhood as the company announced it will close its doors at the start of next year. The company also announced a Marshalls store in the West Concourse neighborhood of the Bronx will be closing.
Representatives say that a total of 69 employees will be affected by this closure, with their jobs terminating on or around Jan. 10.
The company says it made this decision as it approached the end of the lease and that it is "always assessing and reviewing our real estate strategies."
Representatives from Marshalls told News 12 that the employees affected in both stores have been offered positions in other nearby stores.
