A Brownsville woman says she's been getting the runaround since her next-door neighbor's pipe burst, causing water to leak and create an icy situation.
Cynthia Thomas says it's a skating rink right next door to her front porch. Thomas says the leaking pipe has been spraying water for a week from her neighbor's home.
"The water is coming on my stairs and on the side of the house," says Thomas.
Thomas says she has reported the problem, but no one can seem to give her answers. She also hasn't been able to reach her neighbor.
Thomas says she called 311 to get them to send out the water company but since the neighbor isn't there, she was told the water company didn't have access. She also contacted the FDNY but still had no luck.
The biggest concern Thomas has is how much water is still coming out. She hopes it doesn't get into the basement.
The FDNY tells News 12 it responded to the home on Jan. 6 and said a minor leak was found but it didn't warrant forcible entry into the home.
