Children at the Concourse House Shelter are now enjoying brand new tablets thanks to a Bronx-based mentoring group.
Staff at T.G. Mentoring, which operates out of Kingsbridge Church, say that it took three weeks and more than a dozen students to help raise money for the Kindle tablets.
T.G. Mentoring says that its students raised money for the tablets through candy sales.
Members of the group say that they believe technology can motivate kids to want to learn.
