The frigid temperature didn’t stop Bronx residents
from coming out to grab a new line of sneakers Saturday.
The “Jordan Nines-The University Gold” came out as people stood outside of
Finish Line on Fordham Road for as long as two hours.
Customers say it was worth it despite
temperatures being below freezing.
“I have two layers on, got my scarf, so it’s really more or less just bundling
up,” one residents said.
Workers at Finish Line says most of the sneakers
are sold to raffle ticket winners with a few left over for first-come
first-serve customers.
