Young Bronx students learned some tips today on how to stay safe while walking to school in honor of National Walk to School Day. The students at P.S. 304 were taught by safety experts from St. Barnabas Hospital. The city's Department of Transportation also announced the start of a competition called "We're Walking Here." It encourages schools to make public service announcements about the benefits of walking to school. Truman High School was the winner of the competition last year.
