Bronx Prep. Charter School students had the chance to become filmmakers with the help of a Tribeca Film Festival workshop program.
Over 100 students participated in the five-week ?Tribeca Teaches: Films in Motion? program, in which they learned to produce and shoot short film pieces about their communities.
Students say they had a lot of fun, but were surprised by the amount of time and work that went into the process.
Organizers brought the program to the school to open student?s eyes to something new. Students also had the opportunity to watch a documentary screening at the Tribeca Film Festival and speak with the director.
