A grief camp is giving children and teenagers a chance to work through their feelings of losing a loved one.

Sixty teens and kids are taking part in Calvary's Camp Compass, located at Kingsborough Community College and organized by Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.

Attendees come from around New York to get help from counselors to better understand their feelings, and then cope and heal from the death of a loved one.

Camp Compass says one of its goals it to make sure the youngsters are always involved in some sort of activity, such as fishing or basketball, since it helps kids talk about their grief.

The weeklong camp is free for the kids and teens who take part in a bereavement support group at Calvary Hospital.
