Campers at Park Shore Day Camp were able to put their scientific creations to the test with the help of PSEG Long Island.

As part of the Xtreme STEAM Science Kids camp at Park Shore, campers have been learning about the Lunar module.

As a way to learn about engineering and design, campers were previously given materials to make baskets for eggs that a lineman dropped from the raised bucket of a utility truck.

"I used a strip of pool noodle to wrap it around so the egg wouldn't fall off and some yarn to like cushion the fall a little bit more," explained camper Tristan Dougherty when describing his creation.

On Wednesday campers will have the opportunity to see the Lunar module, built in Bethpage, on a field trip to the Cradle of Aviation.
