Students at a Co-op City charter school returned to in-person learning for the first time in six months.
Capital Preparatory Bronx Charter School reopened to students Monday for the first day of hybrid learning.
School administrators say because of hardships associated with the pandemic, the new charter school was unable to open its door for in-person learning.
Both students and parents had some back-to-school jitters as they were greeted by teachers.
Temperature readings and COVID screenings were done for all individuals entering the building.
Parents tell News 12 they are confident that their children are in good hands and that it’s safe to return to in-person learning.
The charter school is working to enroll more students and expand its program in the fall.
