A bait and tackle shop in City Island has more than meets the eye with a salty breeze and the best views the area has to offer.
In business for almost 80 years, the inside of Jack's Bait and Tackle is a fisherman's paradise.
"I wholesale all the bait and tackle to the entire tri-state area- Jersey, Connecticut, New York," says owner John Decuffa.
The dock behind the shop is where the real magic happens- visitors can drive a boat out to sea!
"These are first come, first serve. We start at 5 a.m. on the weekends, 6 a.m. on the weekdays. People love to be on the water and I don't blame 'em!" says Decuffa.
Even beginners can drive a boat for the first time.
Captain Anthony Martin took News 12 to some fisherman hot spots. Some people come to Jack's just to cruise and other people come to catch a bite!
"Hit the water, go fishing, get a boat, get some bait, barbeque, do whatever!" says Decuffa.
