No matter if your favorite heroes are fictional or real, National Superhero Day is the day to be thankful for them.
On this day, help your kids celebrate with these ideas:

1. Dress up

Dress your kids in their favorite superheroes costumes. Or you can make your own - all you need is a mask and cape!

2. Honor your own real-life superheroes

You can thank an entire group, like doctors, nurses, firefighters or police officers, or honor just one person who has demonstrated fairness, courage and compassion. Encourage your kids to find heroes in their own lives. Maybe it's a teacher or a coach that inspires them! Make this superhero day your perfect day to honor all heroes.

3. Be a superhero every day

Show your child that even the smallest superheroes can make a difference in the world every day. Volunteer to deliver meals, clean up the community park, or help families in need. Keep your eyes open for those who are in need of help, and instead of thinking "someone should do something," step up and be that someone.

4. Watch superhero movies and shows

Watch superhero movies or TV shows. If you're looking for even more fun, dress up in your favorite superhero costume and host a watch party.
