9h agoA 33-year-old teacher was fired from her position at AECI 2 Charter School for alleged inappropriate relations with a student.
A school district investigation dating back to 2018 shows Duliana Almonte exchanged over 28,000 messages with a student in just one year.
A former student, who is now 24 years old, told News 12 he had a sexual relationship with Almonte when he was just a sophomore in high school.
Charter school officials say they are continuing to keep the best interest for students, and that's why they chose to part ways with her.
