Chocobar Cortes held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for its grand opening in Mott Haven.
It's the first branch of the famed chocolate company outside of Puerto Rico.
Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin gathered with the Cortes family to celebrate the new chocolate and coffee shop. It stems from the family's 92-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican chocolate manufacturing company.
Guests enjoyed the shop's well-known hot chocolate, and the owners thanked everyone for coming to check out the place.
