Church unveils Mother Cabrini statue in NYC
A new statue of Mother Cabrini has been unveiled outside the Sacred Hearts and Saint Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Caroll Gardens.
The plaque at the bottom of the statue reads "A woman who helped build New York City."
The Diocese of Brooklyn told News 12, $40,000 was donated to pay for the statue and shrine.
The statue was made in Argentina and shipped to NYC.
The actual reveal was proceeded by a beautiful mass.
The whole ceremony was originally delayed due to COVID-19.
The Bishop of Brooklyn Nicholas Dimarzio told News 12 it was great seeing so many people witness the unveiling to help spread Mother Cabrini's message.
