About 100 pieces of art created by New York City students will be on display at a City Island Avenue gallery through the end of April.
Focal Point Gallery has been hosting its annual young artist exhibition for 20 years. A majority of the work -- which includes collages, watercolors and much more -- is done by Bronx public school students.
"I'm really excited to be here," says 10-year-old Ruby Rios, who has been showing art in the show since she was 2. "This really helps the community. It's inspiring."
New York City's public schools have faced declining arts budgets in recent years. This exhibit, funded by a community arts organization, is meant to help fill that void.
