City Island held its annual Memorial Day parade Monday.
The parade is a time-honored observance of those who served the nation by sea.
Hundreds of people gathered along City Island Avenue to watch the parade, which coincides with Fleet Week.
The parade featured marches by the Navy, color guard and more.
The march is organized by the 156th American Legion Post, which has been in the community for almost 95 years.
Children from the area got to march with the veterans as well.
