Several organizations in City Island say they plan to set up multiple locations for donations for asylum seekers to be prepared for the colder months ahead.
Two of the organizations include City Island Rising -- a community group – and Trinity Methodist City Island Church.
The idea for the donations came from David Diaz, one of the organizers, and his son. Diaz’s son, Jake, is a Boy Scout and he and his father decided that taking care of the asylum seekers with a clothing drive would be his service project for the year.
