City officials: Major changes are coming to Brooklyn's Broadway Junction station
Nearly 100,000 riders use the lines every day, and now officials are making changes to ensure it's even more accessible for commuters.

9h agoMayor Eric Adams and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority outlined their new plans for the Broadway Junction train station in Brooklyn.
The $427 million investment is going toward new escalators and elevators at the station. It’s part of an overall $500 million investment into the area, which officials say will help bring more 2,300 jobs to residents.
In order to make sure these enhancements do not displace residents, the city says another 1,700 affordable homes will be built in the area. Another $95 million will go toward funding public spaces, including two new public plazas on both sides of Van Sinderen Avenue and Fulton Street.
In addition, all MTA buses moving throughout East New York will be electric.
Nearly 100,000 riders use the lines every day, making it the third busiest station in Brooklyn.
