Mayor Eric Adams announced the seizure of 93 marijuana plants and 24 pounds of loose cannabis flower from a Longwood apartment.
City officials say the illegal and large-scale operation put neighbors and families on Kelly Street at risk.
The mayor added that growing marijuana illegally is dangerous because New Yorkers have no idea what is being used to grow the plant.
According to the sheriff's office, at least 1,000 illegal shops were shut down including 200 shops in the Bronx since late August.
