As yet another winter storm approaches for Wednesday, the city has closed public schools, suspended alternate-side parking and begun snow-removal preparations.
The city Sanitation Department says it has 1,600 plows ready and 227,000 tons of road salt. This is all on the first day of spring.
As News 12's Anthony Carlo put it, it's like a bad relationship: We're trying to move on, and winter just won't let go.
As some shops in Fordham were putting out displays of sandals and T-shirts, forecasters were warning of strong winds, low temperatures and more snow.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said all city public schools would be closed Wednesday.
