CityMD Urgent Care is closing some of its sites, saying it needs to protect its own workers and redirect staffers to other locations.
Last week, multiple locations temporarily closed. On Wednesday, one more site in the Bronx and two more in Brooklyn are temporarily shutting their doors. CityMD let patients know about this closure through a tweet sent out just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The locations not opening Wednesday are the Westchester Square location in the Bronx and the Boreum Hill and Bay Ridge locations in Brooklyn.
People who would go to the Westchester Square are now heading to the Parkchester location, causing long lines that went down the block Wednesday morning.
A combination of the highly contagious Omicron variant and the holidays has made for long lines of people waiting to get swabbed.
There is no set date yet as to when those locations shut down will reopen.
