News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Scott Sincoff says patchy fog returns tonight with warm temperatures sticking around through Tuesday.
A dense fog advisory has been issued for the tri-state area through 10 a.m. Tuesday. 
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Some patchy fog expected again. Lows near 42.
TUESDAY - KWANZAA: After some morning fog, sun gives way to clouds. Highs around 52. Lows down to 45 with a few showers and drizzle likely.
WEDNESDAY - Scattered showers/drizzle for the first half, with steadier rain likely by the afternoon & evening. Highs jump to 56. Lows near 47.
THURSDAY: Lingering morning showers, then mostly cloudy and warm. Highs surge to near-60. Lows near 45.
FRIDAY: Unsettled with an isolated shower or two possible. Temps hover around 45, falling into the 30s.
SATURDAY: Lingering morning shower, then partly cloudy and cold. Highs near 40. Lows around 30. SUNDAY - NEW YEAR'S EVE: More sunshine, cold. Highs in the upper 30s. Lows in the upper 20s.
